Hi Dyi,

Sorry just seen this. I am currently on holiday, but if you are still looking for something, then check out radioactive101.org. Back next week and happy to chat then.

Best wishes,

James

Hello,

We are seeking help and were hoping someone here could help us out.

We are seeking information about what platform/software to use to make an online radio show. We thought about maybe webinar, a MOOC platform or maybe there are other platforms that you have used or you know people have used? We would be really grateful for any information or signposting!

For now, we have come up with the following requirements (re platform, medium, location, accessibility etc) we are looking for:

  • Maybe there is an accessible radio studio (in London) that offers space for low rent that we can use
  • The show should live-stream
  • The show must be recorded so it can be archived and accessed afterwards
  • Presenters must be able to be in different locations when producing/presenting the show
  • Listeners should ideally be able to communicate with the presenters via text to ask questions, make comments etc for the show
  • The show should ideally use low bandwith
  • The show should be accessible, particularly:
    • A speech-to-text typist should be able to add captions live, which must be recorded as well together with the audio (i.e. not in a separate program)
    • The platform/website itself should be accessible for screen readers and high contrast users

Many thanks,

Dyi, Lani and Michelle
