Research Assistant, Institute of Child Health
London

I am recruiting a Research Assistant for 6 months with possible extension. The role involves a Department of Health-funded programme of research designed to inform adolescent health-relevant public policy. The programme is divided into several ongoing work streams that the post-holder would contribute to. The first of these focuses on the role of self-regulation or self-control in adolescent resilience. The second focuses on the use of health services among adolescents including factors which predict use of accident and emergency services, and the use of "non-traditional" settings for the delivery of health services such as schools, and youth and community centres.

These projects incorporate extensive literature reviews (including systematic reviews), as well as secondary analyses of a number of existing datasets including cohort and cross-sectional data. Main outputs include peer-reviewed publications and briefing papers to inform public policy. While the post-holder will be expected to support ongoing and developing research, there may be scope to develop and lead research within the mandate of the programme and associated work streams.

Please apply via http://www.ucl.ac.uk/hr/jobs/ using reference 1634242.

Kind regards
