20 April 2017: Pre-Marketplace Seminar
SHARE: The Benefits of Borrowing, 1.30 – 4.30pm
The launch event for TEG's new year-long training and mentoring programme Preparing to Borrow, this afternoon seminar will present recent case studies exploring the benefits and approaches to borrowing from nationals and other large museums and galleries, as well as providing an opportunity for you to pose your own questions to a panel of speakers from national and regional organisations.
13.30 - Refreshments and networking.
14.00 - Welcome and introduction to the Preparing to Borrow programme from Charlotte Dew, Touring Exhibitions Group.
14.15 - Introduction to the Art Fund's new Weston Loan Programme - funding and supporting loans from National museums.
14.25 - Project based presentations on borrowing from nationals and other large collections from Julie Biddlecombe-Brown, Curator at Durham University, Clare Pickersgill, Keeper at the University Of Nottingham Museum and Michael Spendor Museum & Arts Manager at Poole Museum.
15.15 - Break
15.30 - Panel Discussion and Q&A with presenters, who will be joined by Liz Johnson, Senior Project Manager at Arts Council England; Katie Childs, Head of Partnerships and Stakeholder Relations, Imperial War Museum;Vicky Sall, Registrar, Science Museum Group and Hannah Kauffman, Deputy Registrar,Victoria and Albert Museum.
16.25 - Round-up
SHARE: The 5 minute share, 5.00-6.00pm
The seminar will close with an opportunity for delegates to share information about their latest and upcoming touring exhibition, loan or partnership projects, to pose questions, ask for input or to find partners.
Evening Drinks Reception 6.30-8.00pm
Drinks reception at the Barbican and opportunity to see The Japanese House: Architecture and Life after 1945. All delegates welcome.
21 April 2017: TEG Marketplace
TEG’s annual Marketplace is a unique opportunity for exhibition providers and hirers in museums, galleries, art and science centres and other public sector venues UK-wide to get together to discuss projects and exchange ideas. Delegates can book a stall to distribute details about their available exhibitions, or circulate freely to network, gather information and discuss collaborations.

11.00 - Opening and welcome
11.10-16:30 - Network to source or promote the latest touring exhibitions, and to find partners
12.30 - TEG AGM
13.00 - Lunch
Several tours of the Museum of London’s permanent galleries will be offered during the afternoon – full details and times tbc.

16.30-17.00 - Close of Marketplace
