We have a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for science communication to develop innovative and visually rich content across our education activities.

Job Title:                          Clothworkers' Science Content Producer
Accountable to:           Head of Education
Accountable for:          Science in Schools Presenters, temporary staff, freelancers and interns, when required
Location:                         21 Albemarle Street, London
Contract type:                               Permanent, full- time
Salary:                              Grade 8 £35,200 (step 1) then £36,760 on passing probation (step 2)

The role

The Ri has a reputation for delivering outstanding science content - rich in demonstrations, props and original ideas - to young people and their teachers, parents and carers. The Clothworkers' Science Content Producer is responsible for developing innovative and visually rich content across various existing and future education activities including content development for the Science in Schools outreach programme, CHRISTMAS LECTURES and Ri Channel demo films.

About you

Working closely with our Head of Education, and across the programmes team, you'll be highly motivated and inspired by the aims and vision of the Ri. You will be enthusiastic about translating complex scientific information into visually rich demonstrations and/or experiments. You'll have extensive experience of science communication, particularly in developing content and scripts for shows, lectures and films that feature science demonstrations. You'll combine the ability to demonstrate creative flair and original thinking, with excellent communication and people management skills. You'll be a proven team player, with experience in creating demonstrations and hands-on experiments about a diverse range of STEM subjects, including presenting live science shows.
