Lunchtime tour of the Petrie Museum Tuesday 25th October
Join me for a tour of the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology. See their collection of 80,000 objects, from over 7,000 years of Nile Valley history which is so relevant for understanding Black History.

HairStories Saturday 29th October
An interactive session for young people aged 12 – 16 years old. After this workshop they will know why everyone doesn’t have African hair type, about some of the hairstyles worn in ancient times, and why the Afro comb is one of the most iconic and awesome art objects!

The bust of Nefertiti in the Berlin museum is one of the best-known faces of ancient Egypt. Nefertiti has also become an icon of modern Black beauty. Is Nefertiti a valid icon for Black women when the most famous image of her shows her as White?
