This year the MA conference is packed with content - including three fantastic themes on people and places, being brave, and health and wellbeing. There are a host of sessions, practical workshops and training - all developed to facilitate fresh thinking. Special events and tours will also give you the opportunity to see more of Glasgow.

Highlights include:
*             networking with 1,500 other museums professionals
*             four keynote sessions and a choice of over 30 concurrent sessions
*             learn new practical skills in workshops and training
*             a chance to see the brand new Kelvin Hall at the welcome reception

*             visit the Careers Hub for top tips to help you in your career
*             post conference drinks reception at Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA).

Keynote speakers include:
*             Jackie Kay, Scots Makar (national poet)
*             Oonagh Aitken, chief executive of Volunteering Matters
*             Alexandre Fernandes and Luiz Alberto Oliveira, Museum of Tomorrow in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
*             David Fleming, MA president and director of National Museums Liverpool

A third day has been added to conference this year with a programme of special events, exhibition tours, expert talks and behind-the-scenes visits to Glasgow's museums galleries and cultural venues. The third day is included in the conference price.
