Hi Lindsay

I'm still writing the article!! Here at BCU we have a SEDA accredited programme ( Supporting Learning and Teaching for Overseas Partners) that we offer to overseas staff free of charge. The programme is built around the needs of those attending but is largely based on the first module of our PG Cert LTHE. For one faculty (Art and Design) the overseas partners have to attend monitoring here so we get them to come over early and deliver the programme to them. For other partners we go over with the link tutors and do it as part of that process. If you want examples of the handbooks I'm happy to send you one.

Regards
Jenny

Subject: International academic development work

Dear SEDA colleagues,

I am interested to hear about any examples of development work with university teachers outside the UK, to include commercial and non-commercial (e.g. exchange or partnership) work.

This could include anything from initial teacher education or CPD, to curriculum design consultancy. It could be a one-off transaction with an unrelated institution, an ongoing area of activity with overseas campuses and partner colleges, or anything in between.

I am sifting through Educational Developments for case studies, but if there is any other information people wish to share, please send it my way. Links to examples already out there will be gratefully received.

Examples from art/design/creative disciplines would be super, but I'm interested in anything really!

Please reply to me ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) rather than the whole list - thank you. I will circulate a summary of info received.
