HI all

I hadn’t spotted this research . It is based on online surveys of public health workforce across a range of sectors, including PHE and LAs.

Some interesting results:

Keeping up to date was the most popular use of information – so those current awareness services should be a real plus from library services.

The results around information skills surprised me – only 50% of respondents felt confident or very confident in literature searching, managing bib references or critical appraisal.

Barriers were what you would expect – lack of time, costs (presumably of subscriptions), and lack of awareness of resources.
