International Symposium on Gas Kinetics and Related Phenomena - Abstract submission deadline extended to 22 April 2016

The Royal Society of Chemistry sponsored International Symposium on Gas Kinetics and Related Phenomena will return to the United Kingdom in 2016, with the 24th meeting taking place from the 17th- 21st July at the University of York, UK.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE EXTENDED - NOW FRIDAY APRIL 22ND

The conference traditionally provides an open forum for the presentation and discussion of the latest research on a wide range of topics related to gas-phase chemical kinetics. Breadth of coverage has expanded in recent years to include all aspects of atmospheric and combustion chemistry, including heterogeneous systems involving micro- and nano-particles.

A wide range of experimental and theoretical presentations are welcome, covering topics such as reaction dynamics; elementary processes, atmospheric, interstellar and planetary chemistry; combustion; modelling of complex systems; nano-particles and aerosols and experimental methods, to name but a few.

An exciting scientific programme is planned including the following invited speakers:

2016 Polanyi Medal Recipient and Lecture

  • James G. Anderson (Philip S. Weld Professor of Atmospheric Chemistry, Harvard University)
2016 Benson Lecture
  • Jürgen Troe (MPI Göttingen)
Plenary Speakers
  • Mark A. Blitz (Leeds)
  • Lucy J. Carpenter (York)
  • David R. Glowacki (Stanford and Bristol)
  • Alison S. Tomlin (Leeds)
  • Adam J. Trevitt (Wollongong)
  • Claire Vallance (Oxford)
  • Luc Vereecken (Juelich)
  • Annele Virtanen (Univ. Eastern Finland)
Social events are also planned, with time to enjoy the historical city of York and its surroundings. For more information and to register visit the conference website
