Volunteer & Collections Assistant (Heritage Lottery Fund project) Part-Time post, 15 hours per week for 18 months The Museum of Royal Worcester seeks to appoint a Volunteer and Collections Assistant to work with the Consultant Curator and Learning, Outreach and Volunteer Officer to recruit and coordinate volunteers to research historical data for the new displays, assist with packing, moving and storage of the collections during the refit of the museum and help with the delivery of an exciting and innovative outreach programme. The successful candidate will play an important role in the team responsible for delivering a £1.5 million redevelopment project supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund. The project is a new start for the museum to reinforce its position as a collection of National Importance. The project will refurbish the museum displays, re-interpret the collections and create a stimulating environment where visitors can learn about the factory community, the triumphs and pitfalls of manufacturing processes and the skills of designers and craftsmen. It will provide opportunities for involvement and learning and widen appeal drawing in local communities and more family visitors.
