Dear colleagues,

A new Open Government Partnership blog post by Victoria Lemieux and Anne Thurston points to ways that governments can support aspirations for open data and access to information by incorporating records management into their openness plans. The post is available at: http://www.opengovpartnership.org/blog/victoria-l-lemieux/2016/03/31/great-ideas-ogp-action-plans-bridging-access-information-and-open

It is interesting to note the OGP Support Unit’s preamble to the post, which demonstrates that they are now seeing records management as a ‘core open government issue’.

Yours,

James Lowry
