APAC Symposium 2016
Supporting our Collections: The value of volunteers

**Call for papers**

APAC will be hosting its second annual symposium on Monday 4th July at University of Bristol Theatre Collections, Vandyck Building, 21 Park Row, Bristol, BS1 5LT.

We will be looking at the role of volunteers in our performing arts collections and want to hear about your projects:

- Have you undertaken an ambitious volunteer project?
- Have your volunteers worked on digitisation projects?
- Have you worked with volunteers to engage the community?
- What specialisms do your volunteers bring to your workforce?

And if there are any volunteers or newly qualified professionals out there, who would like to present, we would love to hear from you too. There will be papers ranging from 5 to 20 minutes so there will be something to suit everyone.

This symposium will give us all the chance to reflect on our volunteer programmes, look at what is working and what is not and where we could improve the experience for both sides. Perhaps you don't have a volunteer programme but want to start one; this would be the perfect forum to discuss this all important working relationship.

The travel expenses of speakers will be covered by APAC (within reason).

Please submit an abstract of no more than 200 words along with an indication of the length of talk you would like to give to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> by 5pm 29th April. If you have any questions then please do email me ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>).

Best wishes
Erin
