Hello all,

 

Thank you to all those who have registered for the meeting or sent their apologies.

 

As places are filling up fast, a reminder to register before the 13th April,  for the next Jisc Student Experience Experts Group meeting (formerly the Learning and Teaching Experts Group) taking place on the 20th April 2016 at The Studio, Birmingham. The agenda for this meeting  covers a range of Jisc work including:

 

·         an update on the digital visions for HE Learning and Teaching and FE and Skills which Jisc is developing

·         approaches to supporting digital capabilities of all staff in further education and skills and higher education

·         new resources and self-assessment tools  from Jisc’s work on the electronic management of assessment and scaling up online learning

 

In addition, we are delighted to have the following guest speakers join us for this meeting:

 

Deb Millar, Deb Millar, Head of e-Learning, Blackburn College (@learningwheel) - Innovation in blended delivery –  new ways of engaging staff in rethinking their curriculum design and delivery

E.A Draffin, Senior Research Fellow, University of Southampton – LexDis

Liz Bennett, Director of Teaching and Learning for the School of Education and Professional Development, University of Huddersfield - Curriculum design, employability and digital identity

Dr. Mark Childs, Senior Lecturer (TEL), OCSLD, Oxford Brookes University - Using a digital capabilities framework for CPD and community building

 

We have decided to update the name of the group to the Student Experience Experts group to better reflect the activities the group and this is aligned to the Student Experience team who manage this group within the Jisc Futures directorate.  The group’s membership continues to be open to representatives currently working in higher education, further education and skills, and will continue to play an influential role in Jisc’s work on the student digital experience.

A reminder that Jisc will cover the travel and subsistence expenses of members attending meetings, up  to the value of £150 on receipt of a completed expenses claim form and original receipts.  Further guidance on how to claim expenses is available from http://bit.ly/1MbMyjN
