A reminder about the East Midlands RSS local group meeting in Leicester 
on Thursday evening, featuring George Leckie (Bristol) addressing the 
merits and drawbacks of various metrics used to assess schools, 
including the ubiquitous School League Tables.

Hi all,

The East Midlands Local group of the Royal Statistical Society will next
meet on Thu 3rd March in Leicester. The guest speaker will be George
Leckie (Bristol) who will address the merits and drawbacks of various
metrics used to assess schools, including the ubiquitous School League
Tables.

The talk will be broadly accessible and the meeting is open to all (RSS
members and non-members alike). It will be at the University of
Leicester on Thu 3rd March at 5:45pm, with tea/coffee available from
