We are looking for a driven and self-starting individual to... * Undertake and manage analytical projects with a particular focus on improving outcomes through cancer intelligence * Support the monitoring, implementation and evaluation of analytical projects, services and initiatives by providing high quality project management, development and support * Evaluate the potential impact of Department of Health and NHS policy changes that impact on awareness, early diagnosis and outcomes Statistics have never been more vital. Here at Cancer Research UK, we've established a partnership with Public Health England's National Cancer Registration & Analysis Service NCRAS (formerly known as the National Cancer Intelligence Network (NCIN). This partnership brings together the strengths of both organisations and is one small step towards saving 5,000 lives a year. Recent developments in the extent and accessibility of cancer data have provided CRUK and NCRAS with the opportunity to enhance understanding of the patient pathway and, as a result, to support improvements in cancer service delivery and outcomes for patients. Now we need a Senior Cancer Information Analyst to work with the NCRAS specifically to support an early diagnosis programme through analysis of national datasets to better understand variation in early diagnosis pathways. This programme is an exciting NHS England initiative with the potential to make a real difference for patients. You'll help us analyse and present high quality statistical information and provide interpretation to a wide audience, including commissioners, policy makers, health professionals and researchers.
