Information Services have an exciting opportunity within the Student Systems Development Team (SSDT) to work as part of the SITS Admissions Support Team as a Tribal SITS Kent Vision Analyst and Developer.

As an Analyst Developer you will be responsible for providing support and facilitating the development of additional functionality on the SITS Admissions System. This is a varied post which will be involved with working on programming and configuration of the Tribal SITS Admissions system using Tribal toolsets and associated technologies, developing reports and resolving customer requests/incidents/problems to streamline processes and improve the customer experience.

You will have a flair for understanding business processes, and creating intuitive web interfaces. You will also be proactive with great diagnostic and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working with a range of stakeholders to support and enhance key academic administrative systems which meet the wide-ranging needs of the University.

Information Services is comprised of four sections: Customer Support, Library Collections and IT Development together directly support almost all areas of University activity, and the Planning and Administration section supports the work of the department and is responsible for:

·         Delivering innovative, proactive and co-ordinated services to support the University’s strategies including those for Research, Learning and Teaching, Widening Participation and E-learning

·         Providing all members of the University community with conveniently accessible, cost-effective, reliable, secure information services and systems appropriate to their needs on the University’s Canterbury, Medway, Tonbridge and other campuses

·         Maintaining information resources in its care (including those in the British Cartoon Archive, and the Templeman Library’s Special Collections) and facilitating access to these and others located elsewhere

·         Providing guidance, advisory services and training to promote the exploitation of all relevant information resources, including newly emerging, stable technologies

The University is ranked 16th in the Guardian University Guide 2016 and 23rd in the Times and Sunday Times Guide 2016.
