Llywodraeth Cymru sy'n darparu'r cwrs hwn, sy'n rhad ac am ddim, ac mae'n cael ei gynnig i staff a gwirfoddolwyr sy'n gweithio yn amgueddfeydd, archifdai a llyfrgelloedd Cymru. Mae'n addas ar gyfer y rheini sydd am ennill sgiliau wrth ddelio â straen a gwrthdaro.

Dealing with Difficult People
Swansea Museum
26th February 2016

This free course is provided by the Welsh Government and is open to staff and volunteers working in museums, archives and libraries in Wales. It is suitable for those who want to gain skills in dealing with stress and conflict.

Aim
This bespoke session will use specific real time work based difficult situations with library 'customers' and colleagues that result in conflict and/or stress.  This training will enable delegates to gain an understanding of, and gain the communication and assertiveness skills to deal with these issues.

By the end of the course participants will have learned more about
*       Appropriate body language and space
*       Use of the voice and language
*       Expectations? - are they realistic?

Bring your own examples /experiences of working with difficult people with you to work on during the day!

Requests are limited to 2 per organisation however we are happy to waitlist any others in the event the course is not fully subscribed. Once you have submitted your request your will receive an automatically generated message to confirm that your request has been received. Please note your place is not guaranteed until you receive an invitation to the course from CyMAL.

Spaces are limited. If your circumstances subsequently change and you can no longer attend notify Seaneen McGrogan immediately on [log in to unmask]<[log in to unmask]> or 0300 062 2261 so your place can be awarded to someone on the waitlist.

In order to maintain as wide a range of training opportunities as possible CyMAL will no longer provide lunch for training events. We will continue to provide tea and coffee on arrival and during breaks. We will also provide information on available food providers located conveniently near the venue.

All correspondence relating to this course will be sent out electronically once you have registered; therefore you must supply an individual email address for each delegate.
