Western’s unionized librarians and archivists prioritized job security and greater participation in university governance as they ratified a new, tentative collective agreement with the University administration.

The new collective agreement was reached on November 6 and voting for ratification of the deal was conducted on campus on November 12 and 13.

Members of the bargaining unit for librarians and archivists voted 86 per cent in favour of the deal.
