Among the records held by the Vernacular Architecture Group (which we are currently sorting for preservation/disposal) are a substantial number of copyright assignment forms, signed by authors of articles in the journal Vernacular Architecture.
The position is made more complicated since for the last 5 or so years, the journal has been published on our behalf by Maneys (now Taylor and Francis), and copyright assignments have been made not to the group but to the publishers, and they not us hold the assignments for this period
Can someone on the list advise how long the assignments need to be retained?
With thanks
Nat Alcock
