Dear experts, I have two questions when learning SPM, could you please help me? As SPM use Variational Bayes for its Bayesian estimation of the first level, there's a Laplacian operator (that we can select) for its spatial smoothness. I'm wondering that for the 3D data, is it a 3D Laplacian operator, or 2D operator combined with some techniques to be used in 3D data? Another question is that when I use SPM also for Bayesian estimation of the first level, there's a message "block 1/45" to "block "45/45" complete till the estimation is done.
