Dear colleagues,

The skills of continuously collecting, archiving and distributing all the necessary inputs for atmospheric radiative transfer models made it possible to meet the needs of the international efforts and projects for atmospheric remote sensing. However a new vision of spectroscopic line parameters databases is now mandatory to meet the challenging requirements of atmospheric measurements already underway or planned for the near future.

You are invited to contribute to a special issue of the Journal of Molecular Spectroscopy onNew Vision of Spectroscopic Databases

http://www.journals.elsevier.com/journal-of-molecular-spectroscopy/call-for-papers/special-issue-on-new-visions-of-spectroscopic-databases/
Deadline for submission of manuscripts: December 15, 2015
 This special
issue evolved from contributions, discussions and
conclusions of the 2014 GEISA Workshop (http://www.lmd.jussieu.fr/geisa2014/), the aims of
which were to assess the current spectroscopic databases and to enhance the
interactions between experts from various disciplines, needed to meet the
challenges and stringent requirements of future remote sensing instrumentation.

Covering the electromagnetic spectrum from the microwave to the ultraviolet, contributions on the following themes are welcomed:

- Anticipating the future of Molecular Spectroscopy

- Improving database contents

 - Databases evolution and user friendly access

We would appreciate your participation in this Special Issue and are wishing you would feel interest and satisfaction in it.
