DAY 1: HOW EVIDENCE SYNTHESIS CAN HAVE A REAL IMPACT (Wednesday 24th June):
This exciting international programme will provide clinicians and academics with an update of evidence synthesis techniques (qualitative, quantitative, overviews and mixed methods) relevant to today’s foremost health challenges. The day supports major policy initiatives including the Research and Development Strategy (NHS England, 2015) and Developing the Role of the Clinical Academic Researcher in the Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professions (Department of Health, 2012). The afternoon will include masterclasses by international experts in realist evaluation and synthesis (Dr Justin Jagosh) and user involvement in systematic reviews (Dr Alex Pollock).
