EduAnalyticsDC 2015 – First Workshop on Education Analytics

- LAST Call For Participation -

Join us on April 13th at the Reagan Building, Washington, DC, for one day
of innovative presentations and thought-provoking discussions on education
analytics and its applications to the educational ecosystem.

This is a first of its kind workshop, organized by vibeffect and the Center
for Complexity in Business – UMD, with the scope to create a platform for
discussions on how data science, computational methods, and complexity
science can address pressing educational needs and issues.

This workshop is intended to bring together researchers, business
practitioners and policy makers with an interest in education analytics and
research. Students, graduate students, professors, researchers, business
practitioners and policy makers are encouraged to attend.

Analytics has the power to transform not only the learning environment, but
also the greater educational ecosystem. However, the promise of social and
big data analytics to improve educational outcomes has not yet moved from
basic descriptive applications to real predictive and prescriptive models.
This forum will explore a number of ground-breaking examples of moving
toward more advanced analytical models and share the lessons learned,
findings and future directions in a way that invites debate, input and
collaboration. By design, this forum includes scientists and practitioners
as well as academic and industry experts, and will be accessible for all
levels of stakeholders.
