SENIOR STATISTICIAN

 

Salary Range: £43,530 - £52,630 per annum

 

Full-time, fixed-term for one year

 

Chelsea and Westminster Campus

                                     

 

Applications are invited for a Senior Statistician to work with Professor Neena Modi in the Neonatal Data Analysis Unit (the Unit) and the Neonatal Research Group (the Group) within the Section of Neonatal Medicine, in the Department of Medicine, Imperial College London.

 

This stimulating post is ideal for a self-motivated person, and offers opportunities for career development. A principal responsibility is to develop and support the work of the Unit by undertaking and/or supervising statistical analysis for the National Neonatal Audit Programme (NNAP) led by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, and for the research activities of the Unit and the Group. You will be expected to play a full and active role in the academic life of the Unit and the Group.

 

You will enjoy working with a vibrant and dynamic multidisciplinary team undertaking a range of clinical and health services research. You will hold a PhD, or equivalent, in a relevant subject, have substantial experience in statistical analysis and data management, and a track record of publication of original research. Prior experience of statistical analyses of large health care databases, and in clinical, epidemiological or health services research is essential. Previous experience of national or regional audit, and contributions to successful grant applications, is highly desirable.
