Call for Proposals
Deadline for Abstract Submissions: Wednesday, 10th December 2014
The International Conference on Gender and Education aims to engage researchers,
academics and policy makers in discussions and debates concerning the interplay
between gender related issues and educational dynamics. This conference will
explore the consequences and reflections of hierarchical structures in
organizational settings, societal resistance involving gender issues, the
politics of gender inequality, and gender dimensions of laws and gendered
aspects of cultural norms and values that intersect with education.
Topics of interest include: 
* Gender and hierarchy
* Gender parity
* Policies and gender inequalities
* Cultural impacts and gender
* Gender discourses
* Gender, education and schooling
* Gender and mobility
* Education and the law
* Ideal society
* History of gender and education
The conference is organised by the London Centre for Social Studies (LCSS) in
collaboration with the School of Education - Indiana University-Bloomington,
Centre for Gender in Global Context (GENCEN) - Michigan State University and
Department of Law - Gediz University.

Abstracts of up to 500 words are invited for submission with successful
abstracts being invited for presentation at the conference. Authors of selected
presentations will then be invited for contributions in future publications.
