Optimus Search is currently in partnership with a leading Pharmaceutical company in Germany looking to recruit a Senior Biostatistician to head the Biometrics department at their site in Hamburg! Head of Biostatistics – Hamburg – Permanent – EXCELLENT SALARY €100,000+ Main Responsibilities: * Serve as Lead Statistician on broad-based projects, such as NDA projects or complex, multi-protocol programs. * Perform management functions relating to the administrative and scientific activities of multiple projects, as well as supervise more junior statistics staff. * Coordinate projects across multiple locations. * Provide leadership and identify and initiate division process-improvement activities in collaboration with other division management. * Work with Head of Biometrics in training and advancement of staff. * Provide technical expertise and guidance in the development of protocols, analysis plans, programming specifications, interpretation, and writing of results. * Act as a senior statistical reviewer commensurate with expertise and ability. * Statistical support for multinational clinical trials in Oncology, Hematology and in particular in AutoImmune diseases * Assisting in the preparation of clinical development plans, test plans, Statistical analysis plans, DMC Charters and registration dossiers * Participation in due diligence for new products * Methodological support for integrated safety and efficacy analysis * Interface between Data Management, Biostatistics and SAS programming for internally and externally conducted clinical studies Key Skills and Requirements: • Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics or Mathematics • In-depth experience with the statistical analysis of time-dependent outcomes and quality of life, multiple testing procedures, and adaptive study designs • Several years of industry experience. Leadership and project management skills essential. • Experience in SAS programming • Fluent English (written / writing). Good level of German.
