My Dorset based client is currently seeking a GIS Technician to come on board for an initial 6 month contract. You will be an important part of a pilot for a project with a nationwide initiative. All being well the contract will be extended and there may be some scope in the longer term for a permanent post. We are looking for GIS graduates, if you have some commercial experience that would be helpful but by no means essential for the role. You will have experience of using ArcGIS. Candidates will be working with Ordnance Survey data and Land based data. Your day to day tasks will involve; Geospatial Analysis, Site Searching, Map Production and Data Capture. You may also be expected to report your progress and present your findings to others within the organisation. So it’s important you have good communication skills.
