We are very much looking forward to the Socrel annual conference ‘Religion and Crisis’ and delighted to announce that the draft conference programme is now available (see attached). It starts with registration from noon on Wednesday 2 July at the University of Sussex and finishes 4pm on Friday 4 July. Thank you very much to those of you who are presenting and those who have already registered to attend. Please note that the deadline for presenters to register by is tomorrow (*20 May*) and the early bird discount for registration is Friday (*30 May*). Following the early bird deadline, all registrations will incur an additional £50 charge. The *Aspiring Academics event for postgraduates and early career scholars*precedes the main conference. It starts with registration at 1.30pm on Tuesday 1 July and includes a substantive workshop with Professor Grace Davie (CLICK HERE <http://socrel.org.uk/aspiring-academics-socrel-2014/>for full details). If you wish to attend, you must make sure when booking that this event is added as part of your conference registration. It is organised by Socrel PG/ECS Liaison Officer Jo McKenzie ( [log in to unmask]) who will be able to answer any specific queries about it. Please note: campus accommodation is limited and available on a first come-first served basis. Brighton is a very popular summer seaside resort and other hotels and B&Bs will fill quickly, so do be sure to book your room in good time. The nearest train station for the conference is Falmer. This is just 9 minutes on the train from Brighton main station and right next to the Sussex campus.
