Yeah, I got a few replies from britarch suggesting the same thing - had a brain block and didn't try googling it myself!

Anyway, previous experience suggest Newcastle won't still have it, so if anyone does know who C Ross is, who obviously did Archaeology at Newcastle in 1987, please put us in touch!

thanks

Hi Nick,

I did a search online and found a PhD dissertation on the Durham online e-thesis website that references the Pedam's Oak thesis. The dissertation is "Settlement and Society in Later Prehistory of North-East England' by Gillian Ferrell (1992). In the bibliography the Ross dissertation is listed as

Ross C. 1987 Pedams Oak. Unpub BA Dissertation. University of Newcastle

Hope that helps.

I probably should mention that many people have had your original e-mail to the list rejected - presumably because their spam filters have taken against it! For all of you who have not received Nick's original e-mail you may want to discuss getting the HER Forum e-mail list messages 'white listed'. If you need to do this contact me off list so I can provide you with the e-mail address that actually sends out the HER Forum e-mail messages (it's not [log in to unmask] confusingly!)

All the best

Sarah

Hi folks

Apologies for cross posting

Bit of a long shot, but who knows...

I am trying to find a copy of a Source used in the HER which we don't have a copy of.

It's a BA Dissertation on Pedam's Oak, from 1987 by C Ross.

Unfortunately, some information which would help track it down is missing (ie the University)

If anyone can help with us tracking it down it would be much appreciated. Please circulate elsewhere if you think that would help, though I've already spammed Britarch with it

thanks

best wishes
