GeoLytix is currently a team of five, having a great time supporting many of the UK’s largest retailers to determine their best multi-channel location strategy. We’re ambitious and looking to grow quickly over the next few years but we’ll never lose our small company mentality, which is part of who we are. Are you our next software developer? You’ll gain hands on experience building market leading sales forecasting tools for a range of big well-known names. You’ll also support our customers with their current systems to ensure we maintain a gold standard service level. About You A future programming guru – & already competent in some/all of c#, Python, JavaScript, VB, R, transact SQL etc. The ability to quickly grasp new programming languages Proactive at finding solutions Know your way around a GIS – and experience of using one Good knowledge of using RDMBS, preferably MS SQL Server Experienced in building tools/extensions for MS Office Good at building relationships with our customers A keen eye for usability Your qualifications and experience A university degree in Computer Science or evidence of programming expertise gained on the job 2+ years of experience as a programmer or similar position Relevant industry sector knowledge ideal but not essential Other stuff The role is full time, 37 hours a week We don’t have an office at the moment but are looking to locate in the South next year where we would expect you to work 1 – 2 days a week. The balance will be a mix of working from home and working on-site. You’ll need to be flexible and travel where our customers are. In return we will also be flexible.
