medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear all,

I have come across various 14th-century commentaries that describe the Patriarch Jacob as having black hair, or being a black man. I'm quite sure there is no biblical precedence for this, and was wondering if anyone had ever come across it?
