medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

I’m rather fond of the carol “The builders” from the Oxford Book of Carols - which, irritatingly, mentions its origins in a 22-verse song called “Venez à Saint-Maurice”, before giving another set of French words entirely.

Can anyone find me the 22 verses?  The internet seems not to know them, but it may be that it is too late at night for my search-brain to be properly turned on...

Thank you!

Jane

PS: if anyone is interested in hearing “The Builders”, it is beautifully sung by Keith Kendrick and Sylvia Heraud on their CD “Stars in my Crown”.

PPS: the translation in the Oxford Book of Carols is by the remarkable Geoffrey Dearmer.
