We are especially interested in projects at the interface of science policy and governance, or involving contemporary science and technology studies focusing on life sciences, such as evolution or biodiversity research. A recent STSUCL success story in ESRC funded PhD studentships is Dr Christine Aicardi (e.g., http://tinyurl.com/stsucl243 ).
