Dear all,
The ACB Management and Leadership course began last night at Royal Surrey County Hospital and continues until friday morning.
The delegates include a mixture of scientists and medics, both delegates from the UK and abroad, and a mixture of laboratory medicine disciplines.
They have a great programme this year including learning about the latest NHS structures, Clinical governance, Managed service contracts, HR and leadership
skills.
Today their sessions are on: NHS Structure and organisation this morning. And this afternoon on using tools like Six sigma, lean working and process mapping
to improve service.
The delegates will be tweeting using #ACBMLC
I think this would be a great opportunity for us all to offer these aspiring candidates our own top tips for being a manager or being a leader in a laboratory.
Please do tweet yourself, if you simply include the #ACBMLC then all the candidates can see your tweet. You can also search for #ACBMLC and see what others
have posted.
If you have never used twitter before, I can assure you setting up your account is simpler than an email or a facebook account.
If you do not have the opportunity but would still like to offer your words of wisdom - then I am happy to tweet your tip just insert into this template:
