We are looking for an experienced individual to carry out a specific task for us over a few months, developing mapping between EO sensors/configurations and EO applications/products. The aim is to enable users of our image search engine to be able to have data pre-selected (filtered) based on their application of interest. The task will require developing an appropriate taxonomy of applications/products and then using expert knowledge/research across a range of application areas to define the appropriate sensors and configurations for the range of satellite sensors that are available. The initial focus of this activity will be within the oil and gas sector, so professionals with experience in this area are of particular interest. The position may be filled via fixed term employment, contract to a freelance consultant or perhaps to an organisation. The position is open to UK applicants and is expected to start ASAP, with completion by end of August. There is the possibility of the position being extended or becoming permanent.
