Post-doctoral Research position - Sainsbury Laboratory Norwich An 18 month post-doctoral position is available in the group of Professor Jonathan Jones. This project is funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Grand Challenges Exploration project. The purpose is to develop novel CrispR-based genome editing methods that will elevate mutation rates in plant disease resistance genes. Methods will be developed and mutation rates assessed in Arabidopsis, with the aim of applying optimized methods to rust resistance loci in wheat. Experience of or interest in DNA repair would be advantageous. The Sainsbury Laboratory, a world leader in plant science, is a charitable company of ~80 research scientists and support staff.
