BIOSTATISTICIAN
6 MONTHS CONTRACT

 

Position: Contract Biostatistician (Full time)

Start Date: Early 2013
Rate: Competitive
Flexibility: Potential for up to 3 days homeworking

 



Role

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced study biostatistician with a pharmaceutical client.
Responsibilities involve co-ordinating the design, statistical analysis and reporting of individual studies, in addition to providing statistical input for publications and presentations.

You will be creating statistical text for study concept documents and protocols as well as developing statistical analysis plans as well as statistical reports.

Representing the statistics function of a multifunctional project team you will act as an intermediary between your company and CROs, ensuring that statistics-related activities conducted by the project teams and the client are consistent with SOPs, guidelines and standards.

 

Experience, Skills, Knowledge

 

-Excellent understanding of drug development (Pre-clinical Development, Clinical Development, Medical Affairs)

 

-Good knowledge of clinical trials within Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology/Medical environment

-Strong statistical analysis background/experience

 

-Fundamentals of project planning and management

 

-Clear and effective communication of statistical information (written and oral)

 

-Good skill of statistical programming languages including SAS

Education/Qualifications

MS/MSc or PhD/equivalent in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics or other subject with high statistical content

• Good knowledge of English in a business environment
