I am a moderator on a message board helping members with iMac problems. We do not allow new members unmoderated messaging until it's clear they don't need moderation - posting adverts or other inappropriate website links can be a problem.

Once they're accepted they can post freely, but moderators act promptly if there are intemperate comments. These posts will be deleted from the archive and the writer will be put back on moderation, for example.

I have a feeling messages on this jiscmail system cannot be deleted - is that true? Can there be pre-moderation?

Brian
