Child Protection issues are always very difficult and one of the things that ought to be looked at on a purely unemotional basis, which can be difficult. I can offer little insight here but can say that in my dealings on any Child protection issues with my previous employer (a long time ago) there was always a race to moral child protection high ground and the rights of the individual were always on the point of being thrown out of the window. I often found myself a lone voice.
