Dear All,

We are carrying out a research study at the University of Hertfordshire on the effect of writing about life goals on psychological well-being.

What is required: Participants will complete a few questionnaires about their emotions, how they manage difficult emotions, satisfaction with life, relationships and other social experiences. They will then be asked to write for 20 minutes about their life goals. One week later, participants will be contacted and invited to complete the same questionnaires again.

The study should take approximately 30 minutes in the first instance and a further 10-15 minutes at the follow-up.

The whole study will be carried out online.

Who may participate: For ethical reasons, participant s must be 18 years or over and should not have a current psychiatric disorder.

Other information: The study has received Ethical Approval from the School of Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire. Furthermore, participation is voluntary and you may withdraw your assistance at any time if you wish and without explanation.
