Being better than an unpaid internship is not the same as being good. All jobs in London should pay the London Living Wage, because that's how much people need to be paid to continue living and working in London (self-evidently).

This job requires that the person applying has some secondary source of income - another job, life savings, parents, etc. This should be unacceptable.

 I whole-heartedly concur with Ollie.
I am desperately trying to break into sports nutrition, and have applied for interns of 9months- 1 year that are unpaid!
This is very short term at the British Science Association and as it represents a great experience would no doubt get an influx of applications with no wage!
