Planning and Designing Interpretive Media - 3-5  September, 2013.

We are taking reservations for our Planning/Design of Interpretive Media
course at  Plas tan y Bwlch (Snowdonia National Park Training Center) Wales,
UK. The course  is limited to 12 participants to allow for lots of one-on-one
design assistance  on individual projects.  This course will focus on:

- What makes a panel interpretive vs. just  "informational"?
- Tilden's interpretive principles in interpretive text  development and
design.
- Interpretive writing that Provokes, Relates, and  Reveals.
- Say it with less than 100 words (visitors won't usually read  more).
- Can you get you message understoon in 15 seconds?   That's all the time
you have on
  average.
- Interpretive panels planning guidelines.
- Interpretive exhibits planning guidelines.
- Exhibit load and outcomes planning.
- New interpretive panel materials - high pressure laminants  (see photos)
Samples will be
  provided too.
- Evaluation of interpretation media - pre and post test  evaluations.
- Development of successful web sites.
- and more.

Participants are asked to bring interpretive panel or exhibit
design/planning projects with them to work on in the course.

No square panels - panels DON'T need frames either :)   Release your
