A pro bono asylum client is seeking an expert on Venezuela. The client is a Venezuelan man. He is the victim of death threats and physical assault at the hands of members of the ruling party in Venezuela, the PSUV, because he refused to join the party. We are looking for an expert who would be willing to contribute a written statement about the current state of affairs in Venezuela. The statement would serve to corroborate the client’s claims about what happened to him. So for example, the statement might confirm that PSUV uses violence against individuals it views as dissidents.
