12 and 13th June 2012: Productions of Babakas' Our Fathers (in association with Warwick Arts Centre and China Plate Theatre) with expert panel discussions:

Panel 1 - 12th June: Father Figures Through Time
How perceptions of fatherhood have changed through the 19th and 20th centuries, the persistence of stereotypes and the transmission of ideas through family generations.
Panel 2 -13th June: Thoroughly Modern Dads?
How fathers interact with their children today, through pregnancy, childbirth and infancy; the rise of stay-at-home dads, gay parenting; and new birth technologies.

Saturday 16th June 2012 - Exhibition of Creative Writing Workshop Publication, Poetry Readings and 'Make a Father's Day Card'  at the Coventry Mysteries Festival, Coventry City Centre

War, Memory Trauma, Dr Sarah York:

23rd June 2012:
War, Memory, Trauma exhibition and launch events at the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum on Saturday 23rd June, 10.00am - 16.00pm.

The exhibition explores the emotional and psychological impact of modern warfare on soldiers, from the emergence of shell shock to more recent debates on post-traumatic stress disorder.
Alongside the exhibition, there will be object handling sessions, a poetry reading and memory exchange which includes oral history presentations from veterans of recent conflicts.

A public lecture, 'Memories and Emotions: Discovering the Soldiers' Perspective of War' will be presented on Tuesday 21st August (12.30-13.30pm) at the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum.
