Dear All – and please pass on to anyone you think may be interested ...

The Geography  & Environment Department at Northumbria University is currently advertising two human geography research studentships:

Nature spaces and social wellbeing: the role of green space in sustainable communities.

Supervised by Kye Askins, Kate Theobold and Samantha Jones

Working Practices in the film and TV Industries – Beyond the Core.

Supervised by Jon Swords and Peter Taylor

More info and how to apply can be found at http://www.northumbria.ac.uk/researchstudentships - you need to go to the School of Built and Natural Environment section (page 6 of PhD studentships!)

These are ‘competition funded’ 3 year studentships, with a stipend of approx. £13,590 per annum and home student fees covered. Ideally we are looking for applicants with a Masters degree in a relevant social science discipline, but encourage anyone interested to contact either Jon or myself for more details in the first instance.

Final applications should go to Jem Pendlington via email at [log in to unmask] or post to Research and Innovation,
School of the Built and Natural Environment, Northumbria University, Wynne Jones Building, Room 202, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 8ST, UK.

Cheers

Kye Askins
