What about John 9 there are some interesting aspects to that story in so far as challenging conventional notions of impairment being the reward for sin, either one’s own or parents. A refutation of the old Glenn Hoddle proposition if one remembers that outburst from years back.

Dear all,
I'm interested in striking up a discussion with any of you who might be interested in a Disability Studies/Theology mix. Now is the time I really miss Christopher Newell - a giant in both fields. I've been reading and thinking about Mark 2, the story of the paralysed man and am keen to explore some theological-social-model ideas,
thanks
jan
