These methods can be effective, however the issue is they will reach the targeted audience, however for fear of being identified even though they saw an ad in the voice newspaper, they will say they saw it in the guardian if asked.

Subject: Targetted recruitment publications

Dear All

I was wondering if anyone had recently placed job recruitment adverts – whether specific or generalist, in specialist publications / website such as Pink Paper, The Voice etc. Any if you have, have you got any evidence that this had a positive correlation to the number of applications you got from the different equality groups?

We are looking at this area after it was raised by our Equality Networks but I am lacking in tangible evidence to support such a venture, never mind in relation to the current financial climate and moves to be more targeted and efficient with the way we advertise jobs.
