HI All, We are performing a longitudinal VBM data analysis. We have used the longitudinal processing stream as indicated using VBM8 using dartel normalization on mprage sequences. In reviewing the resulting normalization quality we've found that the typical normalized subject image is too small for either the tpm gray matter image or the MNI 152 template. We ran the sample homogeneity check in VBM8 and all images exhibited what we believe are strong covariance with each other. We would like to determine whether the resulting images would be considered essentially a failed normalization and some potential reasons for this if so. We've attached an example image of a single subject for review. The top images are the tpm gray image; the 152t1 image, and the bottom image is a typical single subject gray matter image after normalization. The results are most off on the anterior-superior region. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
