Hi Vic and all,

At Stirling, Turnitin can be used as a learning tool before submission in all subjects in our students First Year of University, however only a few departments maintain this throughout the entire degree programme. I am currently pursuing talks with some of the schools of the University regarding extending turnitin availability to Postgraduate students in their first year, especially within Schools that have a very high volume of International (mostly Chinese) students. If anyone knows of any success stories along those lines, it would be very appreciated if you could drop me a line!

Can I what type of Turn it in utilisation your institutions have go? Are students given direct access to upload their work when they want? Is it only used by academic staff to check for plagerism etc?
