A very sad reflection on a local force, which used to be the leading

data protection police force nationally.

Is this indicative of what

happens when strong political encouragement is given to gather and

process more personal data for matching than necessary by loosening
the
focus, or an ethical vacuum allowing such actions to thrive
locally?
The answer to that will be interesting to see.
